Accra, May 30, GNA -
The Second Lady, Mrs Matilda Amissah-Arthur has advised pastors to seek the
face of God in everything they do to be able to succeed in their ministry.
She also encouraged the pastors to preach peace as the nation goes to the polls in November.
Mrs Amissah-Arthur gave the advice at the inauguration of seven new pastors of the Change Life Baptist Church at North Kaneshie in Accra.
The pastors have undergone training at the End Time Bible School where they receive their Diplomas.
They are Joseph Ofosu Boateng, Richard Asante Sarpong, George Asare, Bismark Agyei Badu, Emmanuel Quansah, Isaac Awotwe and Charles Nii Ayi Okine.
Mrs Amissah-Arthur also asked the new pastors to grow spiritually with their wives in order for them to thrive in their ministry.
She advised the wives of the pastors to be understanding and pray for their husbands for them to be successful in their ministry.
“How well you support them will determine how far they will go in their ministry,” she added.
Reverend Esperance Klugan, a visiting Pastor, in words of exhortation charged the new pastors to avail themselves of the work of God.
He said as pastors they have been called by God to serve and to preach the gospel to mankind.
He said the responsibility of spreading the gospel to humanity is a charge from God that has been thrust upon them to honour and must not be taken lightly.
Rev Klugan also charged the pastors not to try to preach from their own opinion but the true unadulterated word of God.
He encouraged the pastors to be transparent and truthful in their dealings with the people, adding that the Lord has promised to be with them on every step of the way.
